What We Do?

Locally Funded Scholarships

Since 1997 the Dixie Education Foundations partners annually with local donors. From our humble beginnings of $10,000, we now award over $200,000 annually.

Other Funded Scholarships

The Dixie Education Foundation acts as a facilitator for other monies award to graduating seniors. Some of our long term organizational partners are Central Florida Electric, Farm Bureau of Gilchrist, Suncoast Credit Union, Florida Gateway College, Duke Energy, and Big Bend Technical College & Technical Education.

Apples For Education

Apples for Education at our Dixie County Tax Collector’s office!! While you're renewing your tag, paying your taxes or getting your drivers license, you can make a donation of any amount to Apples for Education, and that money goes directly to support programs for all Dixie County students!!

Tuition Assistance Program

The tuition assistance program or TAP begin as a multi-year $50,000 dollar grant from Blue Wolf. Thos program is designed to help High school graduates persue a carrer in trade and techincal education or CTE.

Legacy Foundation Scholarships

The Dixie Education Foundation, Inc. is proud of our partnership with Florida's Legacy Foundation Scholarship Program. We can purchase Legacy scholarship form the foundation with a dollar for dollar match. For instance if we purchase an 2 year college plan your price lst year was $1,500 and the match was $1,500 with a little intrest. Not bad! it feels really good to give a student $3,000 towards thier education.
